House & Techno Isolation Mixtapes | DCG

Los chicos de DCG (Detroit Classic Gallery, Buenos Aires) aka E110101 y Sol Ortega me invitaron a participar en unos de sus streamings en su canal de youtube. 

El mix fue grabado hará un par de meses en mi tienda Rhythm Control Barcelona y se emitió hace dos domingos junto a los sets de la koreana Jisoo, l@s aleman@s Linearis y Coline, el mañico Pushmann, amigo mío y productor en End Of Dayz y Rhythm Control Barcelona y los argentinos DJ Dante Lucero, JXF y los propios E110101 y Sol Ortega. 

Los streamings van unidos a una campaña para recaudar fondos para la "Fundación Sí" de Buenos Aires.

Aquí va el tracklist del set que hice en Laut para la primera edición del festival streaming Barcelona Electrónica. Participaron Adriana Lopez, Angel Molina, Annie Hall, Reeko,  RNXRX, Nico B2B Guim Lebowski, Brenda, Deckard, Arildo, Serkin 1985, Lucient,  Neiland, Mouseup, Kendra en representación de Discos Paradiso y mucha gente más. Creo que ha sido todo un éxito. En la página de facebook podéis ver todos los sets que se emitieron.

Como podréis observar, al final de mi set saltó un CD, (rarro, rarro) y la última parte del quedó un poco deslucida ya que me eso me despistó, pero en general quedé contento sobretodo de la reacción de los videntes.

Anika Kuntz me invitó a pinchar en una de las noches Selectors en Macarena. Debido a mis responsabilidades familiares le pedí que me dejase abrir la noche, así que hice la mitad de la noche antes del set de Motzler.

El pasado 31 de octubre pinché en El Chingón. Un garito que hay al lado del Moog en la calle Lancaster. Era una fiesta organizada por Colectivo Secreto y Olivia Vermuteria. Me pidieron que hiciese un set de house y así lo hice. Hubieron bastantes problemas de sonido durante casi todo mi set, así que no es mi mejor set técnicamente pero la verdad que me mola bastante, también lo disfruté pinchándolo.

Tras más de un año sin pisar la cabina del Moog, el pasado miércoles 19 de julio pude "esplaiarme" bien 3 horas y media en mi sitio favorito para pinchar. La primera vez que pinché en Moog fue en enero de 2002 y desde entonces he tenido épocas en las que he pinchado a menudo y otras en las que no. Haciendo un cálculo rápido habrán sido alrededor de unas 40 noches, muchas de ellas con Rebeltech Djs entre 2002 y 2005 y después con Discos Paradiso Crew entre 2010 y 2016 a parte de alguna noche End of Dayz o simplemente como Dj Bruce Lee como es este caso. Haciendo el Warm Up estuvo el residente Ruben Seoane.

"LONDON VIBES" Unknown dj house set.

Entre las cintas que tengo de cuando empecé a coleccionar música de baile hay una que no recuerdo quien me la pasó ni de donde venía. Creo recordar que era una grabación de una radio inglesa pero no estoy seguro de ello. Supongo que cuando me la pasaron me dijeron que era un mix hecho en algún club de Londres y lo titulé "London Vibes" pero vamos, que podría ser de cualquier sitio, pero si tiene pinta de ser de UK.

Es un mix de house con el pitch a +8 y de los temas que aparecen solo conozco Gusto "Disco's Revenge" que suena al principio justo después de unos segundos del primer tema; el "Walk 4 Me" de Tronco Traxx aka Robbie Tronco del sello Henry Street de Brooklyn y como no, el "The Bomb" de The Bucketheads. Aparece una versión del "I Feel Love" de Donna Summer que creo haber escuchado en algún otro sitio pero no se cual es.

Resulta que esta semana nos han comunicado desde la dirección artística de Moog Club que durante el 2016 como es la celebración del 20 aniversario, se centrarán más en noches de residentes y en invitados y parece ser que no habrá noches mensuales de Discos Paradiso hasta 2017. Si habrá algunas noches puntuales como el aniversario que se celebra cada año en Moog y alguna cosa más especial durante el año.

El pasado 22 de diciembre fue la última Discos Paradiso Night en la que pinchamos un servidor junto a Luis Arbués antes conocido como Dj Tejón. Gracias a Guille Gus Van Sound que grabó la sesión y después la colgó en el Soundcloud de Moog, ahora podéis escuchar las casi 4 horas de set en la que Luis y yo nos fuimos turnando una hora cada uno. El pasado miércoles 7 de enero tuvo lugar la Discos Paradiso Night mensual en el club Moog. Estubimos pinchando Fede Zerdán y yo all night long y grabamos el set casi entero, 4 horas y 20 minutos.

"Dance Mania Style" special mix para Captcha.

El mes pasado me invitaron a pinchar en un streaming de la gente de Captcha que pasaron un fin de semana en Barcelona grabando diferentes sets, Abu Sou, la gente de Struments, Pau Roca, Fede Zerdan y Gus Van Sound entre otros.
Para hacer algo especial decidí hacer un set Dance Mania, aunque también puse varios del sello Funk Records de Dj Funk y alguno otro sello del mismo rollo.

Red Bull Music Academy Application Mix 2014

Este año la Red Bull Music Academy se hace en Tokio y como me gustaría mucho ir a esa ciudad decidí mandar la Application Form. Hay que rellenar un cuestionario de unas 20 páginas con muchas preguntas sobretodo sobre aspectos musicales pero también otras cosas. Si buscáis supongo que aún se puede encontrar por algún sitio.
